Opening an account with us.

Entirely online, wherever you are. What it takes to qualify, what you send, what it costs, and what happens at each stage.

The short version

No travel, no notary, no waiting room.

Onboarding is fully digitised. You complete the process from wherever you are, on your own schedule, and there is no requirement to appear in person or to have documents witnessed by a notary. Electronic signatures are accepted.

What does not change is the standard of the checks behind it. Remote does not mean lighter. Every applicant goes through the same identity, ownership, and source of funds review that a physical file would, which is why the documentation section below is specific rather than vague.

Step one

We check the fit before you do paperwork.

Our framework produces good outcomes for a particular kind of client and poor ones for everybody else. We assess that first, because establishing it early protects your time as much as ours.

Works well for

Clients with something concrete to bank

And who can show where it came from.

  • Corporates with verifiable revenue, or private clients with demonstrable assets
  • Applicants who can evidence the origin of their funds with documents
  • Anyone needing international, treasury, or multi currency infrastructure that behaves predictably
  • Relationships intended to last, run on compliance rather than around it
Not a fit

Accounts looking for a purpose

Or paperwork that will not survive a receiving bank's review.

  • Applicants who cannot yet say what the account is for
  • Files where the source of funds cannot be documented
  • Anyone wanting an account first and a purpose later
  • Requests that depend on a bank overlooking something

None of that is a judgement. It means another institution is a better fit, and hearing it now is more useful than hearing it in three months.

The process

From first message to working account.

Six stages. You are told where you stand at the end of each one.

  1. Enquiry

Tell us who you are, whether the account is private or corporate, and what you intend to use it for. A paragraph is enough at this stage, and no documents are needed yet.

  2. Qualification review

Our onboarding and compliance teams assess whether our framework suits your objectives. If it does not, you are told directly and given the reason, rather than left waiting.

  3. Documentation

You complete the account opening form and send it with the supporting documents. You receive written confirmation once the submission has arrived and been checked for legibility, so nothing sits unacknowledged.

  4. Due diligence

Identity, beneficial ownership, and source of funds are verified, and your intended activity profile is agreed rather than assumed. This is the stage that takes the longest, and the completeness of your file decides how long.

  5. Written terms

If the file clears, we issue terms in writing covering the account structure, the permissions, and the applicable fees. Nothing is payable before this point, and you are free to decline.

  6. Configuration and activation

On acceptance the account is configured to the profile agreed at onboarding: currencies, limits, authorised signatories, and reporting. Credentials go to your named users, and a relationship manager already familiar with the file takes over.

What you send

The documentation set.

Send these together rather than piecemeal. A complete file moves through diligence; a partial one waits, and waiting is where most applications lose their time.

Account opening form

Completed and signed. Use the online form, which you can fill in on screen and then print or save as a PDF. Mark anything that does not apply as N/A rather than leaving it blank.

Identity

A clear copy of the passport of each applicant, and of every beneficial owner where the account is corporate. The whole page, in colour, with the machine readable lines legible.

Proof of address

A recent utility bill or bank statement in the applicant's name. Recent means recent: a document more than a few months old will be sent back, and that costs you a round trip.

Corporate documents

For a company: certificate of incorporation, a current registration extract, and a beneficial ownership declaration. Where someone signs on behalf of the entity, add the board resolution or power of attorney giving them that authority.

Source of funds

A declaration of where the funds originate, with the supporting evidence attached. This is the section that decides most applications, and an assertion without documents behind it cannot be assessed at all.

Intended activity

A short statement of what you plan to do with the account: corridors, currencies, counterparties, and the pattern and size of activity you expect. This becomes the profile the account is configured against.

Send everything to legal@globalservercapital.com

Attach the files directly, or send a link from a transfer service you already use. Put the applicant or entity name in the subject line. You will receive written confirmation once the submission has been retrieved.

    Also worth knowing
  • General enquiries go to office@globalservercapital.com
  • Electronic signatures are accepted
  • Never send passwords or credentials by email
  • Nothing is submitted through this website
Fees

Published, and payable after terms.

The opening fee covers the regulatory, compliance, and operational work of establishing the relationship. Each file is onboarded individually, with enhanced due diligence and senior review, rather than pushed through an automated decision. That work happens whether or not the application is ultimately accepted, which is why it is charged once and separately.

The order matters more than the amount. You receive written terms first, and only then does anything become payable. If a counterparty anywhere in this industry asks you for a substantial payment before putting terms in writing, that is the point to stop, whoever they are.

Account opening
Opening fee USD 20,000One time, per relationship
When payable After written terms are acceptedNothing is payable before that point
Minimum balance By account class, see belowHeld for at least one year from the date it is fully funded
Other services Quoted per mandateInstrument terms depend on the issuer, the tenor, and the corridor, so they are quoted rather than listed.
Minimum balance by account class
Private, escrow, and vaultingUSD 100,000
Brokerage, precious metal, and diamond industryUSD 150,000
CorporateUSD 200,000
PriorityUSD 500,000
Private bankingUSD 1,000,000

A holding requirement, not a fee: the balance stays your money. Fund it after activation and keep it on deposit for at least a year, counted from the date it is fully funded. Anything above the minimum moves freely, and after the year so does the minimum.

Why it is done this way

The work up front buys you a quiet account.

Establishing the profile thoroughly at the start is what stops the account being interrupted later. That is the whole trade, and it is worth being explicit about what you get for it.

Capability from day one

The account is validated for its intended volumes at activation, so meaningful transfers do not each require a fresh approval, and payments are far less likely to be delayed or queried after the fact.

A relationship, not a queue

A named relationship manager from the start rather than after something goes wrong, with direct access to senior operational and compliance staff when a matter is time sensitive.

Less friction later

Because source of wealth and activity are documented comprehensively at onboarding, there are fewer repeat document requests and fewer restrictions triggered when your volumes change.

Configured to your actual use

Permissions, limits, currencies, and reporting are set against what you told us you would do, which avoids the reconfiguration delay that otherwise arrives the first time you do it.

Room to grow

Higher volumes, new jurisdictions, or additional services can be accommodated later without starting the relationship again from the beginning.

Judgement, not a rulebook

Decisions are made by people who can weigh commercial context, and sensitive information is handled by as few of them as the work allows.

Ready when you are.

Send a short note about who you are and what the account is for. You will get a straight answer on whether to proceed.
